Use the color matching paint service at Home Depot, take your favorite automotive color chips, and paint your walls in automotive colors.

I'm not sure how well metallics would work...

Textured paint might partially solve the metallic problem.

Alright, we're going to be painting my room soon. I need a light gray and a dark blue (mood walls are all the rage). Giff automotive color ideas please.

I did something similar, except for the fact that instead of a car color, I painted it white and blue to match the BMW badge.

There are no dumb ideas. Only dumb people..

I did the color match for British Racing Green. It's close but not right. It works great with Barn Wood Red though.

Apparently, that's what happened to houses belonging to British Leyland factory workers. They'd nick pots of paint and take them home, painting their houses in all shades of BL cars. British Racing Green, Morris Marina Blue etc.

Just make sure to use the Kevin Brown Method of Polishing when you finish the clear coat on your living room wall. Only poor people have orange peel on their walls.
